Sybil A. Ginsburg, M.D.

Philosophy of Psychotherapy:

"My philosophy of therapy is to first evaluate an individual's needs with as much empathy as I can and to consider the suffering, motivation and realities in each person's life.  I then may offer psychoanalytic therapy, support, counseling and possibly medication, as suitable.  As a psychoanalyst, a physician, and a member of a caring profession, I think the therapeutic relationship is crucial for resolving conflicts and traumas that cause symptoms such as anxiety and depression and limit a person's ability to sustain and derive gratification from relationships, work and creative endeavors."
