Robert B. White, M.D.

Philosophy of Psychotherapy:

"Psychotherapy is a special way of talking and being together, in a safe and private setting, with the goal of solving problems that are causing pain such as depression and anxiety.  I sometimes prescribe medications to support this process, and medications can provide great relief, but usually they are not a substitute for the learning and profound change that the therapy relationship can provide."
